Therapeutic Philosophy & Approach
Desie believes that change begins with understanding our stories. Using a Narrative Therapy framework, she helps clients explore their personal narratives, identify patterns that may hold them back, and find new ways to move forward with purpose and self-compassion.
Her integrative approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and play-based interventions, allowing her to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. Desie is skilled at addressing shame, guilt, and trauma while helping clients build healthy boundaries and strengthen relationships.
While her work is thoughtful and grounded, Desie also brings warmth and humor into her sessions—believing that laughter, honesty, and human connection are often some of the most powerful tools in the healing process. Clients describe her as genuine, approachable, and deeply attuned to their needs.
