Meet the Team
Carly Nestler, ACMHC
I specialize in working with emerging adults and adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, identity and self-esteem concerns, relational issues, shame, ADHD/executive dysfunction, and matters of faith or spirituality. I also welcome working with a wide range of clinical concerns and life experiences—each person’s story is uniquely valuable.
My approach to therapy is grounded in a person-centered philosophy, which means I prioritize authenticity, empathy, and genuine connection in the therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing and growth happen most effectively in a space where you feel safe, seen, and free from judgment. I strive to bring warmth, presence, and sincerity into every session, showing up as my authentic self so that you can feel free to do the same.
While I draw primarily from humanistic approaches, I often incorporate tools and techniques from other modalities—like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—to best support each client’s unique needs. I also view individuals within the context of their broader communities and social systems, acknowledging how these larger dynamics shape personal experiences.
Outside of therapy, I’m a big fan of stories in all forms—whether through a great show, movie, or book. I love my daily coffee (homemade or from a favorite local spot), and while I enjoy traveling and discovering new places, I also consider myself a homebody at heart. Some of my favorite pastimes include baking, plant care, walking, savoring a good meal, and spending quality time with family and friends.
