Holly Patterson, ACMHC
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, OCD, trauma, relationship stress, parenting challenges, or major life transitions. I work with children, teens, and adults to help them better understand what they’re experiencing, develop effective coping skills, and begin creating meaningful change in their lives.
My approach is relational and collaborative. I believe one of the most important parts of therapy is feeling safe, understood, and supported. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences openly, gain insight, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
I have specialized training in perinatal and postpartum mental health through Postpartum Support International (PSI) and enjoy supporting individuals navigating the emotional challenges that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood.
I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based trauma treatment that uses eye movements and guided imagery to help the brain process and resolve distressing memories. ART can help reduce the emotional intensity connected to painful experiences and often allows clients to experience relief more quickly than traditional talk therapy alone.
Before becoming a therapist, I had a variety of life and professional experiences that continue to shape how I connect with clients today. These experiences allow me to bring a grounded, practical perspective into the therapy room while maintaining a compassionate and evidence-based approach.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy cooking (and tend to measure ingredients from the heart), learning about health and wellness, spending time outdoors, and being with my family.
