Elizabeth Fitzer, LCMHC

I believe therapy is a space where you can slow down, better understand yourself, and learn how to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. My goal is to create a compassionate and supportive environment where you can feel understood and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

I have over nine years of experience working as a school-based and outpatient therapist in a Community Mental Health Center. During that time, I worked with children, teens, adults, and young adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I have experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, mood and behavioral concerns, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with young adults as they navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. I believe that learning to understand and manage your thoughts can be a powerful tool for creating change. Together, we can explore where your attention is focused, challenge overwhelming or unhelpful thought patterns, and develop practical coping strategies that fit your life. My goal is to help you recognize the things you can control and build confidence in your ability to handle whatever comes your way.

I believe we all want to feel a sense of purpose, connection, and success in our lives. When challenges arise, it can be easy to feel stuck or overwhelmed, especially when we realize we cannot control other people or circumstances. I’m here to help you focus on what is within your control, better understand yourself, and find ways to move forward that feel authentic to you.

Outside of therapy, I love reading and singing. I grew up in New Jersey, spent many years in Ohio, and am now happily planted in Utah. And if you ever happen to pull up next to me at a stoplight, there’s a good chance you’ll see me singing my heart out in my car!

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. I would love to walk alongside you as you work through current challenges, build confidence in yourself, and develop skills that can continue to support you long after therapy.
