Gage Norton, MSW Intern
Mental health struggles can be exhausting, frustrating, and isolating. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe, supported, and able to face the difficult things you’ve been carrying. My role is not to tell you who to be, but to help you better understand yourself and move toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
I have experience working in youth residential treatment, university student and faculty coaching, and intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, including working with individuals experiencing OCD and anxiety disorders. I particularly enjoy working with teens, young adults, and adults who are struggling with OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem, or fear and uncertainty.
My approach draws from several evidence-based therapies, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also incorporate mindfulness and self-compassion into my work. Together, we can work toward accepting what we cannot control, taking ownership of what we can, and developing the courage to face difficult emotions and experiences rather than allowing them to control your life.
I especially enjoy working with people who genuinely want to learn and grow. Whether you are facing OCD or anxiety, navigating a major life transition, exploring questions about faith or meaning, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next, I want to help you understand yourself more deeply and live with less fear and greater connection to your values.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking and trail running, baking and cooking, reading, and learning about the natural world and history. I’m also always up for good food and a good cup of coffee.
Starting therapy takes courage, and continuing the work can take even more. You don’t have to face these challenges alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you learn to embrace uncertainty, sit with discomfort, and build a life that feels more fully your own.
