Meet the Team

Marla Jean Willard, LMFT

I specialize in providing therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups, catering to teens, emerging adults, and adults alike. My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in humanism, focusing on empowering clients to take personal responsibility, establish and maintain healthy boundaries, and improve their communication skills.

My expertise lies in areas such as sexual health, sexual behavior, relationship dynamics, couples issues, perfectionism, self-esteem, religious trauma, faith transitions, and shame. Shame often underlies many of these challenges, making it a foundational aspect of our work towards building a more fulfilling life.

I excel in helping clients navigate issues related to sexual health and behavior, understand and improve relationship patterns, and address challenges like perfectionism and self-esteem. I am particularly attuned to supporting individuals grappling with religious trauma and faith transitions, guiding them through their journey towards healing and self-acceptance.

Life can be a struggle, but it doesn't have to feel overwhelming. If you're looking for a therapist who brings a down-to-earth, authentic approach—which always includes a bit of swearing—reach out to me. Whether you're considering individual therapy or seeking support with your partner or family, let's connect to see if I'm the right fit to support you in overcoming your challenges.
