Melissa Whyte, CSW
I specialize in working with children and adolescents navigating anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, behavioral concerns at home and school, self-esteem, and social or peer relationship difficulties. I also support families who are looking for tools, clarity, and guidance in how to best support their child. I welcome a wide range of concerns—each child and family deserves thoughtful, individualized care.
My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered. I focus on creating a space where kids feel safe, supported, and able to express themselves in ways that feel natural to them. I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative and practical, so I work to help clients build skills they can use in their everyday lives while also developing confidence and emotional awareness. I also work closely with parents and caregivers to support lasting change beyond the therapy room.
My background includes both inpatient and school-based settings, which allows me to understand how challenges show up across different environments and how to support consistency between them.
Outside of therapy, I love anything creative and active. I’ve spent several years teaching dance and working with youth, and I enjoy creating spaces where kids can build confidence and express themselves. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, paddle boarding, going to drive-in movies, and spending time with my goldendoodle.
